Larry finally determined that he needed to go and see his healthcare practitioner about his hazardous drinking. To sum up, by effectively treating his problem drinking, Larry would be able to get his problem drinking under control and abstain from the negative sequence of events that could potentially lead to alcohol addiction.
Without a doubt, Larry did not want to face the thought of enrolling in an alcohol treatment facility. Nor was he thrilled about going to a therapist about his sadness. Irrespective of these trepidations, however, Larry in fact felt some psychological relief for the first time in several months because in the end he gave up making excuses for himself and at long last finally made up his mind that he needed to do something productive about his drinking difficulties.
