The sport of golf requires some key attributes, some of them are natural and some of them you will need to work on. This is where your fitness is very crucial. Let’s say you have the technique and have an ok handicap but feel that you can add an extra 30 yards to your drives.

Strength training for golf is essential to helping you create a more powerful golf swing and help increase your longevity in the game. Although Strength training can bulk up your muscles and cause limited movement in your swing but this is where flexibility comes in.

The most important part of Golf Fitness training I am going to talk about is the importance of having a strong core. This is your midsection that I’m talking about. Most people tend to work on their biceps, triceps, pecks, and shoulders alot. Not knowing that it is your core that creates such power in the body.

Let me share with you some advice and strategies to help you create a strong, flexible, and toned body core to help you power out your swing and have your fellow golfer’s jaw dropping at your distance.

Be aware if your diet is helping your training, I highly recommend to make serious changes to your diet because it will dictate your results, trust me on this one.

To ideal diet would be to eat fresh lean portions of read meat, fish and chicken, peanuts, boiled eggs on a  regular basis, no processed meats. Recovery is really important so consuming the right fuels will bring you massive gains. Important to note aswel is to keep hydrated so fluid intake is a must.

Now I highly recommend the use of a swiss ball.If you feel as though you are unsure of how to use a swiss ball please seek an expert or personal trainer for advice. There are many ab workout machines out there but I highly recommend a swiss ball. A swiss ball can be used to build on other muscle groups aswel to create even more power and a more flexible rotation in your swing.
