My London Visit for 14 days

I was invited to London by my supplier with whom I have done business for 10 years. I have been in holland and France already to complete transactions. I have been waiting to visit London for quite some time because I have read a lot about it at school years ago. I stayed in Russell Square for one week when I was exploring the West end and then moved to London Victoria for my second week when I was exploring South London.

I checked into the Tavistock hotel in Central London from the airport after a long journey from the Heathrow airport. In Bloomsbury, the Russell Square area has good hotels.

Regardless of the fact that it was my first day in the area, I just fell in love with it. I just took my street map and just stepped out of the hotel to start the Central London tour. To say that I was pleased with what I saw in London is an understatement because it was the same as I read about. I first visited the British Museum which I understand has over 7 million items from all over the world and also visited British Library all in Russell Square. I then wen to the Covent garden with the aid of my street map and there I saw many street performers performing to the crowd there.

For the rest of the week at Tavistock hotel London, I visited the West end area. During my exploration of the west End, I went to Marble Arch and also Oxford Circus. On my visit to Leicester square, I saw a lot of theatres and no wonder the place is sometimes called Theathreland. Another place I visited was Piccadilly Circus and found the place to be very busy with many tourists. I paid a visit to the shopping streets in the West End area on my 5th day and was surprised to see that the place was so dense with shoppers and other tourists. The Bond street, the Regent street and the Oxford Strret are very busy shopping streets but I found the Oxford Street to be the busiest. I was also in the Soho and the China town area for a short time.

I went to stay in Victoria area in my second week as booked through Cheap London hotels agency. The london area I was dying to stay at was Victoria just to be able the see the Houses of Parliament, big ben and Buckingham Palace. I made my way to The Buckingham Palace to wait to witness the changing of the guard. My first place of interest was to visit the Big Ben which was also called the tower clock of London. Just a few metres away from the Big Ben are the Houses of Parliamnet. At the parliament Square, I went to have a look at the Westminster Abbey. I then decided to go and have a look at the London Eye. It is a fantastic piece of architecture. The London ey will continue to be one of the best Landmarks in London for quite sometime. I enjoyed my stay in Central London and I would like to stay in the cheap hotels in Russell square as they have good accommodation standard but lower rates.
