Before teaching your kids Easter crafts like Easter egg making, you need to know what type of materials to prepare. For starters, you may want to use those plastic Easter eggs for your Easter crafts. Plastic eggs are easy to handle and they don’t break when accidentally dropped by your kids. Moreover, plastic eggs do not go stale so your kids can keep their Easter eggs for as long as they want. On the other hand, if you do not like the idea of adding pollution to the environment by using those plastic eggs for your Easter crafts, you can always use real eggs. Just make sure that you hard boil your eggs so that they will not break easily when accidentally dropped on the floor. Don’t allow your kids to keep the Easter eggs for more than some days. Remember that stale eggs smell really bad and if you do not like you home to smell for days, you should make sure that your kids get rid of those Easter eggs before the start to smell.
Aside from getting eggs for your Easter crafts, you need to get some non-toxic paint or coloring materials and sample designs for your kids to follow. If you are using real eggs and you want to eat the eggs afterwards, it would be better if you use food coloring to color your Easter crafts. Once you have all your materials ready, you may now ask your kids to gather around the kitchen table and start working on the Easter eggs. Yes, your children will probably mess around your kitchen a lot while working on their Easter craft but then again Easter only comes once a year so just let your kids have some fun and worry about the mess later. Besides, you can always ask your kids to help you clean up the mess that they created.
