Deep Fitted Sheets Advice
I want to tell you a story about when I had to buy some new sheets for my bed. What started out as a simple task led to a bit of a nightmare. I don’t want you to have to go through the same thing as me and that is why I want to tell my deep fitted sheets story.
Before I re-live my nightmare, I want to let you know why I got involved with buying bed sheets and why I wouldn’t know anything about deep fitted sheets. I live with my girlfriend who I would describe as a ’shopaholic’. She does all the shopping and my only involvement is usually to try and stop her spending money. However, now she is pregnant and it means that I have to help out more and this is how I got involved.
OK, so simple enough task I think you will agree. So down to the shops I went. I bought some sheets thinking I was doing everything right. I chose the colour of the sheets based upon the colour we already had. I wanted it to be similar but still to be a bit different. I need to make sure I had a size that was big enough to fit a double bed.
When I am back home I decide to do something nice. I decide to put the sheets on the bed so that when my girlfriend came back home she would have a nice surprise. I tried and tried but I just couldn’t get them on. It didn’t matter the way I tried to get them on, it didn’t work because the mattress was too thick.
My girlfriend came back when the bed was in a state. After she stopped laughing at me she called me an idiot. She told me that I should’ve bought deep fitted sheets like she said. I am sure that she didn’t but she insists she did.
Now if you don’t want to return the sheets back to the shop in exchange for some deep fitted sheets (like me!), I would advise that you check the depth of your mattress before you go shopping.
